About the Foundation

The Anita Bhatia Foundation for Tomorrow funds work that removes structural barriers, reshapes narratives, invests in youth, and strengthens collective action across systems of care, education, and power, including disability and neurodiversity.

Our approach is grounded in the belief that durable change requires more than programs alone. It requires attention to the structures, assumptions, and power dynamics that shape outcomes over time.

A Foundation with Roots

The Foundation for Tomorrow builds on the legacy of the Ramesh and Kalpana Bhatia Family Foundation, which for nearly two decades supported organizations advancing inclusion, dignity, and opportunity across communities in the United States and globally.

That work reflected a deep commitment to equity, family, and the belief that meaningful change happens through sustained investment in people and ideas.

Why an Evolution

As the social, cultural, and policy landscape has evolved, so too has the Foundation’s approach. The Anita Bhatia Foundation for Tomorrow reflects a deliberate shift toward funding the conditions that shape long-term outcomes.

This means investing not only in direct services, but in the systems, narratives, and collective efforts that determine how opportunity is created, distributed, and sustained.

Looking Forward

The Foundation honors what came before while directing resources toward work that is built to last—work that is responsive to complexity, grounded in lived experience, and capable of shaping a more just tomorrow.

We invest in long-term systems change that expands who has access, voice, and agency in society.
